Birthday Party Notes

Birthday Parties include juggling, kids magic, and balloon-twisting. Switching these around in custom fashion can be done to a certain extent. The main issue is usually the number of children at the party since some parties have 5 children while others have 50. There is no change in the fee per the number of children, since all fees simply go by an hourly rate. Rule of thumb when trying to decide what Flippo can do for you in your allotted time frame is to simply figure on 1 balloon sculpture per minute per child. The “Show” is specifically the juggling and magic. Balloon sculptures are not considered part of the actual show.

  • Example: The 1-hour party with 20 kids (the average)

The keyboard skit is 5 minutes. The Juggling Antics with Kids Magic Show is shortened to typically 30-35 minutes, thus leaving 20 minutes for 20 children getting balloon sculptures! If balloon sculptures are not desired, the juggling antics and magic show fill the entire hour.

  • Example: The 1.5 hour party with 20 kids

This party includes: the keyboard skit (5 minutes), Juggling Antics with Kids Magic Show (1 hour), and 20 balloon sculptures (20 minutes). If there are fewer than 20 kids, the 1-hour time frame is OK, with the show being shortened, unless multi-balloon sculptures are requested. Balloon sculptures can be created using 1, 2, or 3 balloons.

  • Example: The 2-hour party with MORE than 30 kids

This party includes: the keyboard skit (5 minutes), Juggling Antics with Kids Magic Show (1 hour), and 30+ balloon sculptures (40-50 minutes).

As you can see, Flippo can’t tell EXACTLY how long the show will be (Juggling and Magic), until he sees the ACTUAL NUMBER OF CHILDREN IN ATTENDANCE. At this point, he inquires as to whether or not balloon sculptures are desired, thus leaving adequate time to supply EACH child a sculpture. Over 5,000 birthday parties since 1989 has given him some ample experience to make everyone happy, and he promises TO DO JUST THAT!
